Nutrition:

We designed our menu to use the freshest and most nutritious ingredients we can. We buy fresh local produce, free range and organic Canadian meats and Ocean Wise approved seafood. We also make everything fresh on site - our dough, tomato sauce, seasoned veggies, meat and seafood, bread and desserts.

We are constantly searching for fresh in-season produce from local farms to create seasonal dishes. It is our promise that you will find minimal salt and sugar and absolutely no GMO, additives or preservatives in any of our dishes.

We Believe Local Produce is Healthier:

Local produce is the freshest produce you can buy. It is picked when it is fully ripe and delivered to you quicker than produce imported from another province, country, or continent. Imported produce is picked weeks before it is ripe, and often, the nutrients, taste, texture, and color have not fully developed. When it comes to fresh food, local is most often a much more nutritious choice. For example, 24 to 48 hours after harvest, 50% - 89% of vitamin C is lost from leafy vegetables - wow!

Eating local foods also contributes to our food security. The BC Food Systems Network Society explains that “a community enjoys food security when all people, at all times, have access to nutritious, safe, personally acceptable and culturally appropriate foods, produced in ways that are environmentally sound and socially just.” You can contribute to BC’s food security by buying food grown and produced as close to home as possible - including your own garden.
